The ParkXero platform, in your pocket
ParkXero Mobile turns the phone your officers already carry into a license plate reader, a citation book, and a point of sale — checking every plate against permits and payments as they walk, even where there’s no signal.
Free for your team. No extra hardware.

Walk the Zone
Walk the zone. The app does the checking.
Start a walk and point the camera down the row. Every plate is read right on the phone and checked against monthly permits, pay-by-plate sessions, event payments, passes, and the popular parker payment apps — all at once, one answer per plate.
- Eyes on the lot, not the screen — every read buzzes and plays a tone, so officers know the verdict without looking down
- Reads plates faster than you can type them — recognition runs on the phone’s own camera, with no per-scan fees and no signal needed
- Drivers who pay mid-walk flip to green — payments refresh every couple of minutes while you’re online
- Reserved stalls — a permit tied to a stall shows the stall, so the officer can confirm it’s parked in the right place
- Last Walk — a summary of what was read, flagged, chalked, and ticketed, with one tap to write any ticket you skipped
- Coverage for supervisors — each walk’s counts reach the back office, so supervisors can see every zone’s coverage. Plate numbers stay on the phone
Flagged
Characters that scanners commonly confuse (0/O, 8/B/D, 5/S…) are treated as equal.
Five answers, colour-coded, as fast as you can walk.
Electronic chalking · Scofflaw alerts
Time limits and repeat offenders, handled on the walk
No more chalk on tires. In time-limited zones, the app remembers when and where each unpaid car was first seen and flags it the moment it overstays — and it tells your officer when a plate has a history.
- Electronic tire chalking — set the time limit and no-return rules per zone; the app tracks every car and flags overstays, like “free limit ended 11:00am · no return until 2:00am tomorrow”
- Shared across your team — chalk marks sync between officers’ phones, so a second pass by anyone counts
- Cleared automatically — chalk marks are deleted once they’ve done their job; ParkXero doesn’t keep a history of where cars have been
- Scofflaw alerts — a plate that meets your scofflaw rule gets a SCOFFLAW badge, even offline. Tap it to see open violations and balance before you act
- Your rules, your call — you set the scofflaw threshold, and the app reminds officers to confirm with the office before a tow
Meets your scofflaw rule
Citations
A person writes every ticket. The app does the paperwork.
The app flags; your officer decides. One tap on a flagged plate opens a citation with the plate, state, vehicle, and photo evidence already filled in — online or off.
- Filled in from the photo — the state is read on the phone, and the vehicle’s make and colour are suggested from the photo for the officer to confirm
- Evidence that holds up — every photo is stamped with the time and GPS location, and the plate photo from the walk is attached automatically. Add notes in the officer’s own words
- Pre-printed tickets — scan the QR code on a serialized pre-printed ticket to link it to the citation
- Or print in the field — print citations and receipts on Zebra Bluetooth mobile printers, with ticket numbers assigned automatically and your own ticket layout
- Scan to pay — every ticket carries a QR code that takes the parker straight to your payment page
- Works with no signal — citations, photos, and printing all work offline and upload as soon as the phone reconnects

Verify QR codes
Catch swapped QR stickers before your parkers do
Fake QR stickers on pay signs are the fastest-growing theft in paid parking. Point the app at any posted Scan & Pay or event sign and get an instant verdict for the zone you’re standing in.
- Genuine sign — the right payment code for this zone
- Ours — needs attention — a real sign in the wrong place, like a code that belongs to a different zone
- NOT OURS — possible fraud — a code that doesn’t lead to your payment site. Remove it and tell the office
- Works in dead spots — the check runs on the phone, and every scan is logged for your records
This is the correct Scan & Pay code for this zone.

Take payments anywhere
Turn any phone into a point of sale for event and daily parking. Pick the event and rate, read the plate, and take the card — every sale lands in the same ParkXero reporting as your permits and citations.
- Bluetooth card readers — take tap and chip cards, including mobile wallets, on iPhone and Android
- Tap to pay on the phone — no reader at all: contactless cards and mobile wallets right on the phone. Available now on Android, coming soon to iPhone
- Or let the parker pay — show a pay QR code and the parker pays on their own phone
- Receipts on the spot — print a receipt on the same Zebra printer you use for tickets
- Card data never touches the app — cards are handled end to end by our certified payment partner
Today
Built for a shift in the field
Made for garages, lots, and the curb
Dead zones, shared phones, night shifts, and patrol routes — ParkXero Mobile was built for how enforcement actually works.
Works offline
Permits sync to the phone before the shift. Walks, chalking, citations, photos, printing, and QR checks all keep working without a signal, and upload when you reconnect.
Zones and patrol routes
See how far each zone is from you, or follow today’s patrol route with zones numbered in order. Routes guide the shift — they never lock an officer out of a zone.
Closed-zone notices
When a zone is closed to the public, officers see it on the home screen — so they know parkers can’t pay to park there right now.
Shared phones
Officers on the same team can hand a phone over at shift change and nothing is lost. Switching to a different account uploads everything first, then clears the phone.
Day or night
Night mode follows the phone’s setting or a quick switch, and optional extra sounds give every verdict its own tone for loud or dark lots.
US and Canada
Pick your region at sign-in. Canadian operations run on ParkXero’s Canadian region, so your data stays in the right country.
Privacy by design
Plate reading for compliance — never for surveillance
ParkXero Mobile reads plates for one reason: to check that a vehicle is following your zone’s rules. It’s built so it can’t be used for anything else.
Plates are recognized on the device itself. Reads that don’t lead to a citation are purged once the check is done.
The Last Walk list lives on the officer’s phone and is deleted 48 hours after the walk. The office sees counts, not plates.
Chalk marks are cleared automatically. There is no long-term plate database, and plate data is never sold or shared between operators.
The app has no advertising or tracking. It doesn’t use your photo library or microphone, and it uses location only while it’s open.

FAQ
ParkXero Mobile questions
How do officers get a login?
Your operation creates logins for its staff in ParkXero and can remove them at any time. There is no public sign-up. Officers download the free app, choose the US or Canada, and sign in with the username and password you give them.
Does license plate recognition need special hardware or cost extra?
No. ParkXero Mobile reads plates with the camera on the phone your officers already carry, and the reading happens on the device itself. There are no cameras to buy, no per-scan fees, and no network connection needed to read a plate.
Does it work without a signal?
Yes. Permits and payments sync to the phone before the walk, so plate checks, Walk the Zone, chalking, citations, photos, printing, and QR sign checks all work in a garage with no signal. Everything uploads as soon as the phone reconnects. Card payments and vehicle make and colour suggestions need a connection.
Which payments does enforcement check against?
All of them, at once: monthly permits, pay-by-plate sessions, event payments, parking passes, and the popular parker payment apps your locations already use. Officers see one answer per plate no matter where the payment came from.
What happens to the license plates you read?
Plates are read only to check that a vehicle is complying with your zone’s terms, in a lot you manage. Reads that don’t result in a citation are purged once the check is done, usually within a day, and the officer’s Last Walk list is deleted from the phone after 48 hours. There is no long-term plate database, no sharing between operators, no watch lists, and plate data is never sold. Our privacy policy spells out every commitment.
Can we take card payments in the field?
Yes. ParkXero Mobile accepts tap and chip card payments for event and daily parking. Pair a Bluetooth card reader to take tap and chip cards on both iPhone and Android. Tap to pay right on the phone, with no reader, is available now on Android and coming soon to iPhone. Parkers can also scan a pay QR code and pay on their own phone. Card data is handled end to end by our certified payment partner and never touches the app.
Which printers does it work with?
Zebra Bluetooth mobile printers, for citations and event receipts. Your ticket layout is designed in ParkXero and synced to every phone, and printing works offline. You can also issue serialized pre-printed tickets by scanning their QR code.
